ABOUT | WHIPPLE LAW OFFICES, P.L.L.C.Ashley graduated Magna Cum Laude from Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont in 1993. She attended law school at the University of Montana School of Law, having earned an Outstanding Applicant Scholarship for her first year of law school. She graduated in 1998 with Honors. While at the University of Montana, Ashley interned at the Gallatin County Attorney's Office and was a member of the Association of Trial Attorneys Trial Team, upon which she competed at the national level. Upon receiving her degree, she was awarded the CALI Award for Excellence in Constitutional law.

Following graduation from law school, Ashley became a full-time Deputy County Attorney with the Gallatin County Attorney's Office. From 1998 to 2012, Ashley handled criminal prosecutions ranging from DUI and domestic violence to serious felony cases. She has also served children by representing the Department of Health and Human Services in child abuse proceedings, and has worked at the appellate level on postconviction proceedings.
Todd attended Westfield State College in Westfield, Massachusettes where he was a captain of the baseball team. Todd graduated from Westfield State in 1994 with a B.S. in Criminal Justice. He attended law school at St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida and the Univeristy of Montana School of Law, graduating in 1997. Upon graduation, Todd began serving as a Deputy Gallatin County Attorney. In 2001, Todd was appointed the Chief Deputy County Attorney with oversight of the criminal division. The criminal division handles a variety of matters including misdemeanor offenses, felony offenses, DPHHS matters, involuntary mental health commitments, and civil drug forfeiture cases. Todd has personally litigated many of the high profile felony and misdemeanor cases in Gallatin County for over a decade.
In 2012 Ashley left the County Attorney's Office to engage in individual representation of private clients. In 2013 Todd joined Ashley in private practice with a focus on criminal defense. Ashley and Todd live in Bozeman with their three children.
- In 2006 Ashley was awarded the Outstanding Prosecutor of the Year Award from the Montana Attorney General's Office and the Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
- In 2012 Ashley was awarded a "Peacemaker Award" from the Community Mediation Center in Bozeman, Montana.
